Day 1
Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park
On Day 1 of your safari with Jambo International Tour, you’ll begin with an early morning flight from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park, arriving around 11:00 hours. Upon arrival at Msembe Airstrip, your adventure commences immediately with a game drive en route—As you approach the airstrip, you may encounter giraffes crossing the runway or elephants seeking shade under baobab trees. After settling in and enjoying a hearty lunch, the afternoon is reserved for another thrilling game drive in Ruaha National Park, renowned for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, and various antelope species. In the evening, you’ll return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s unforgettable experiences.
Day 2
Full Day in Ruaha National Park
After an early breakfast, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive. Ruaha, almost as large as the Serengeti, remains one of Tanzania’s most thrilling game reserves. It’s a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 350 species. Wildlife is predominantly found along the Great Ruaha River, the lifeblood of the park’s ecosystem. You’ll have the opportunity to spot various animals, including waterbuck, impala, Grant’s gazelle, and predators such as lions, leopards, jackals, hyenas, and African wild dogs. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush, and in the evening, you’ll return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Meals for the day include breakfast, picnic lunch, and dinner, with accommodation in luxury tented camps or lodges.
Day 3
Ruaha to Dar es Salaam Departure
After an early breakfast, you’ll embark on a sunrise game drive, capturing the early morning activities of the park’s inhabitants. Following the game drive, you’ll transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Dar es Salaam, departing at 11:45 hours. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to Julius Nyerere International Airport for your onward journey or to your hotel, depending on your travel plans. Meals for the day include breakfast, with accommodation not included as the day concludes your safari.
